10 Reasons Why The Coyotes WhiteOut Was a Success..Despite a ShutOut

Phoenix CoyotesSaturday night marked the first regular season home game for the Phoenix Coyotes against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The theme of the evening was “Welcome Back Whiteout” a throwback to the old Winnipeg Jets days. And despite the disappointing final score of 2-0 here are my reasons why the night was a success:

Number 10: The “no soup for you Balsille” signs
Number 9: I had to fight for parking (yes this is a plus)
Number 8: Wardrobe choice was pretty easy for fans with the “white” theme and free tshirts
Number 7: Columbus doesn’t have a huge contigency of fans here in the Valley
Number 6: Lowered ticket prices = better seats for everyone!
Number 5: The sight of the white clad sell out crowd shaking them pom poms
Number 4: Representative from potential buyer Ice Edge Group was in attendance (the sooner Moyes is out of the picture the better!)
Number 3: Knowing that if we can sell out one night, we can sell out others
Number 2: 2 words..Zamboni Ride!

and the number one reason that the Coyotes WhiteOut was a success??

Number 1: Watching the Coyotes lose in Glendale, Az is far better than watching them win in Hamilton

Keep the support going Coyotes fans!

  1. Your cult following is growing, I keep hearing more and more about how people are not-so-secretly pulling for your team. The problem is, no matter who owns the team - it’ll bleed cash unless the fans show up. With all due respect to Mr. Gretzky, maybe getting a head coach with coaching experience will help your team compete for a playoff spot - and fill your building!

  2. At one point it seemed like every one and their brother were wanting to see the Coyotes move back to Canada. Now, it seems almost that the tide is beginning to change. I look forward to seeing the Coyotes continue to play pretty impressive hockey.
