Coyotes Standings Looking “Up” and “Doan” With Win Against The Bruins

Phoenix CoyotesNamed MVP and 1st Star of Saturday’s game against the Boston Bruins, Captain Shane Doan definitely deserved the honor. With assists on each of the first three goals and looking like the leader we know he is, Shane led the boys to a 4-1 victory against the Bruins. Scottie Upshall with his 2nd star of the game status, looked amazingly aggressive and focused delivering one of the night’s goals. Truly a player we will see a lot more from in the future, mark my words.

Much sharper puck handling, 22 incredible saves by Ilya Bryzgalov all helped the cause. Note to Tippett..this guy is HOT, don’t get any funny ideas about keeping him out of net. What do we do with the hot goalie?? We ride him!!

Speaking of hot, Ed “Jovo” Jovanovski. Strong defense AND strong offense with a 2nd goal in 2 games he’s obviously feeling good.

Although Kevin Porter has been brought up AGAIN, he was scratched tonight leaving me with an incredible feeling of whiplash. Back and forth, back and forth. Let’s try and stay put for a while Kevin.

Awkward moments of the game included the appearance of former Coyote Derek Morris, playing against his former teammates for the first time. Also, cringe worthy (but not undeserved) was the repeated booing of Blake Wheeler who thumbed his nose at Phoenix and opted to play for the Bruins as a free agent.

Overall amazing effort, teamwork and balance! All 3 periods looked consistent and we again scored on the power play! At 5 and 2 with 3 straight wins I couldn’t be more thrilled.
Next up..at home against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday, October 22nd.

Let’s Puck!
