It’s A Christmas Miracle…Attendance Skyrockets For Phoenix Coyotes
After months of meager turnout around 5000 to 8000 fans, it looks like things are turning around for the Coyotes. Saturday night’s game against the LA Kings brought in 16,000, the highest since the home opener in October. Tuesday’s game against the Vancouver Canucks brought in over 13,000. The guys won both games…coincidence? I think not. I keep saying it..winning = attendance = fans. In 4th place in the Western Conference, the Coyotes are winning and the fans are coming. Finally!
Could it have something to do with the ticket deals and promotions that the organization is offering? Possibly..but it’s more than likely the great play that is bringing people back. Guys like Scottie Upshall, Matt Lombardi, Ilya Bryzgalov, Zybnek Michalek and Ed Jovanovski are playing their hearts out and putting on a great show.
The problems for the Phoenix Coyotes are not over yet. With still no solid buyer on board and financial problems in the millions, the dogs aren’t out of the woods yet. Winning, however could be the first step on the path.
The only bad side to the increased turnout? Standing in line for that churro…ah well, can’t have it all!
