Jonathan Cheechoo A Shark - Again

San Jose SharksFC Sharks Fan - our sometimes beat-reporter and finder of off-beat San Jose Sharks news, reports as follows:

“Well, he is a Worcester Shark. He got released from his tryout with the Stars and has signed a pro tryout with the Sharks. I hope he makes it back into the NHL again. It seemed he never fully recovered from his injuries.

Some weird line combos from the Sharks beat reporter in Sweden:

Marleau – Couture – Heatley

McGinn – Thornton – Setoguchi

Clowe – Pavelski – Mitchell

McLaren – Nichol – McCarthy/Wingels

Murray – Boyle

Vlasic – Wallin

Demers – Huskins

Mayers is still injured from the pre-season game against Vancouver.”

I hope FC Sharks Fan is right, that Cheechoo’s decline was due to injury and not work ethic. Any takers on whether or not we’ll see him in San Jose again?!

  1. Thanks Sharkfan,

Another quick note, Joe Thornton has been named captain with Dan Boyle given a permanent “A” and Ryan Clowe and Patrick Marleau will rotate the other “A”. Patty will were the A at home and Clowe will wear the A on the road.

    GO SHARKS!

  2. Here are my thoughts on the matter, http://unrulytravller.wordpress.com/2010/10/06/good-luck-cheechoo-train/
I can’t wait for the season to start. I hope there is a place showing the game here in the Czech Republic tomorrow so I can watch it live on television at a decent hour.
    Jit Zraloky! (Go Sharks!)
