San Jose Sharks Getting Emotional + Fight Of The Year Contest Now Closed

San Jose SharksThe San Jose Sharks looked better against the Nashville Predators, they seemed to be playing with a lot more emotion than what I’ve felt from games past. Once again, however, the Sharks seemed to think the game is only 59 minutes long as they seem to have some Pavlovian shut-down response to the PA announcement “ONE MINUTE LEFT TO PLAY”. As unrulytraveler pointed out in a comment, it’s been quite a while since we’ve seen the Sharks take over games like they did earlier in the season. In fact, it’s been so long that I FORGOT how they used to do that.

It looks to me like Jonathan Cheechoo is really starting to get his whole game back. My feeling is he’s probably the healthiest he’s been in a few years - how would that be if he finally get’s his game back just in time for the playoff grind?!

All voting for Fight of the Year is now closed - thanks for playing. Brad Staubitz takes home the title, not only for his unanimous decision (the 1.4% against is a joke, right?!) but his unanimous decision against Jordin Tootoo!

For those of you who missed it - enjoy:

  1. I blame the absence of Mike Grier. I hope he comes back soon and lifts up the special teams units.
