San Jose Sharks Lose Evgeni Nabakov Indefinitely

sharksfan No sooner were we of the opinion that protecting players by not disclosing injuries was the responsible thing to do does Evgeni Nabokov go out with the every popular ‘lower body injury’.

After their come from behind, shootout victory against the St. Louis Blues, the San Jose Sharks are now facing uncertainty at the goalie position. Although it’s difficult (if not impossible) to get any information on the nature of Nabokov’s injury, the recalling of Thomas Greiss (goalie) from Worcester is probably an indicator that we will be seeing more of Brian Boucher in net for the San Jose Sharks.

Unlike the predictions of doom and gloom for the New Jersey Devils because of the loss of Martin Brodeur, no such predictions have been heard about the San Jose Sharks. Brian Boucher has yet to give up a goal this season (which we know won’t last forever) but given the expanded emphasis on team play this year we predict the Sharks won’t see much of a defensive drop off with Boucher in net.
