San Jose Sharks - Out With The Old, In With The New?

sharksfanAs the NHL Entry Draft approaches one would think the San Jose Sharks, along with the other 29 teams, are seriously evaluating their rosters. Given this year’s step backwards in the playoffs, and given Doug Wilson’s remarks that the team is willing to make the hard decisions, it seems pretty obvious that some significant personnel changes are on the way. Will some veterans on the last year of their contracts (Patrick Marleau, Evgeni Nabokov) be traded now so the team can obtain something in return? Will unrestricted free agents (Mike Grier, Rob Blake) be made an offer to return? Will some players due to receive large salary increases (Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Doug Murray) be considered worth their new cap hits? Take our poll at http://www.penaltykill.net and see what the rest of the Finatical Shark Nation thinks!

  1. I am certainly looking forward to the draft this weekend. Of course, it is boring as sin to watch, but I will be looking to see which team picks up who. After that we have free agency!

  2. Free Agency is definitely more fun than the draft, but what you do in free agency sometimes depends on what happens in the draft, and what you do in the draft depends upon what you think you might do in free agency….
