San Jose Sharks, San Francisco Bulls And Washington Capitals

This might be the beginning of a new story line for us here at The ‘Net. In case you didn’t already know San Francisco has a new hockey team - the ECHL San Francisco Bulls. Their inaugural season is this fall (October 2012) and their new home is the Bay Area favorite Cow Palace. Many of us were hoping for the ‘Slap Shot’ experience with fights in the stands, sticky floors and a drunk mascot, but I’m pretty sure it’s not going to go that way.
Believe it or not I - The Ref - won a contest to go to tomorrow’s [1] San Jose Sharks game with the coach of the Bulls Pat Curcio! Interestingly enough he’s also the team’s [2] President and General Manager. We’ll be out there sporting our San Francisco Bulls swag promoting the new team and I’ll be asking a ton of questions of Coach/President/GM Curcio about managing and coaching a hockey team.
One problem - [3] Coach Curcio is friends with the coach of the Washington Capitals so for him it’s ‘Go Caps Go!’. Best way to quiet a Capitals fan is a Sharks win!
