Sharks Start Another Win Streak

sharksfan Apparently the argument has been settled, it’s not rabbit season - it’s duck season. The San Jose Sharks started their latest win streak by beating the Anaheim Ducks 2-0 in a pretty mild effort by Sharks standards. I don’t know but it seems like the Sharks don’t look quite as sharp when they’ve had a lot of rest. Having not played a game in 5 days the Sharks started the game a little flat, however they did manage pick up the pace mid way through the first period and pretty much handled the Ducks from that point forward. Remember barely squeaking by the Chicago Blackhawks after only playing one game in the previous 9 days? Maybe this type of system works better the more you play it.

It’s also nice to extract a little payback - the Ducks are one of the ‘3′ in 23-3-2.

Evgeni Nabokov stopped 31 shots on the way to, believe it or not, just his first shut out of the season, including one incredible/lucky/incredibly luck toe save near the end of the game when the Ducks pulled their goalie.

Get ready kids, just a few more tune up games before Santa delivers the Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers and Vancouver Canucks.
