Vancouver Canucks: Dan’s The Man

Vancouver CanucksFor the Canucks fans the wait is over as they welcome home B.C. boy Dan Hamhuis, to a reported 6-year deal for $4.5million per year. Last season he scored 5 goals and 19 assists for the Predators. Many teams coveted the 6ft 1”, 203lb, 27 year old.

Earlier today they signed Manny Malhotra to a $7.5 million contract over 3 years. It is expected that he will be the centre on the 3rd line. Last season he chalked up 14 goals and 19 assists for the Sharks.

The Canucks kick started the free agency this morning by signing centre Joel Perrault. It is suspected he will spend time playing for the Moose.

With the arrival of Hamhuis could this signal a trade for Kevin Bieksa?

  1. You’re going to love Malhotra, he’s a face-off champ. I know we wanted to keep him but he got 333% raise going to you guys!
